Dreamchasers Theatre Arts Center announces the opening of registration for their Fall Theatre Classes. Classes being offered this term include Acting for Students ages 6-8; Acting for Students ages 9-12; Acting for Teens; Improvisation for ages 8-Adult; and Play Production. All classes and performances are held at Dreamchasers’ home, The Norwell Grange Hall, 142 Main Street, in Norwell.

Classes begin the week of September 21st.  All classes, with the exception of Play Production, are eight week courses which culminate in a performance by each class on Saturday, November 14th. Play Production is a nine week course which culminates in four performances of a full-length, fully produced production. Play Production performance dates are November 20th, 21st and 22nd. Among the plays being considered for this term are the World Premieres of two new plays. Enrollment in Play Production is limited and is subject to approval by Dreamchasers Artistic Director Rosann M. Weeks.

Ms. Weeks teaches all classes. She is a former director of CBS TV’s “As the World Turns”, the founder and Artistic Director of the Hub Theatre Center of Boston, former teacher of Acting at Vassar College, C.W. Post College, The Coupe Studio, and The Children’s Storefront School of New York City. She has directed over 200 professional productions in Regional, Dinner, Stock, and Off-Broadway theatres. Her former students include Oscar nominees Rob Reiner and Al Brooks, Best Actress Winner at the Cannes Film Festival Kitty Winn, the Director of the Theatre Wing of Lincoln Center and Tony Award Winner Andre Bishop, and the CEO of Sony Entertainment Andrew Lack. Rosann is the recipient of the Boston Critics’ Best Director Award for her production of “The Rimers of Eldritch” at the Hub Theatre Center of Boston. She holds an M.F.A. in Directing from Boston University.

The aim of all of Dreamchasers classes is to offer each student the opportunity to develop their artistic skills while increasing self-confidence and awareness through the Art of Theatre. To chase their dreams! To insure individual attention to each student, enrollment in each class is limited.
