FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dreamchasers Theatre Arts Center of Norwell will present the New England premiere of the magical fable “Emma and the Lost Unicorn” by Trisha Sugarek. Ten year old Emma enjoys the forest near her home, only to discover it is inhabited by all sorts of magic. She is chosen by Cleo, the queen of the fairies, to help rescue a unicorn trapped by the spell of an evil warlock named Kodak. To succeed, Emma must best Kodak in a competition to solve riddles. Why riddles? Because as Queen Cleo says, “In the Land of Faeries, we do not hit. We are too intelligent and wise to resort to fists and weapons. Our words are our most powerful weapons.”

This is the second play by Trisha Sugarek which Dreamchasers has produced. In November of 2007 , Dreamchasers presented the World Premiere of Ms. Sugarek’s play “The Guyer Girls” to packed houses and standing ovations. Ms. Sugarek will attend Dreamchasers production of “Emma and the Lost Unicorn”.

Starring in this production are Mary Lambert as Emma, Alice Tilles as Queen Cleo, Todd Selby as Kodak, and Lydia Lambert as Rainey the unicorn. All four of these young actors are from Norwell. Completing this talented cast are Ryan Kramer, Abigail Lambert, and John Lambert of Norwell; Colleen Gill of Pembroke; Caitlyn Comer and Kathryn Griffin of Hingham; Hanna Stern and David Stern of Marshfield; Samantha Mushin of Cohasset; and Amanda Wilson and Gabrielle Egan of Hanover.
