Dreamchasers Theatre Arts
Center of Norwell announces the beginning of a
new Public Service Program. Senior Citizens and
Teachers are invited to attend the final Dress
Rehearsal of all of Dreamchasers major
productions free of charge. Following each
Dress Rehearsal there will be a discussion
period between the cast, crew, director, and
audience. The objective of this Program is to
promote inter-generational sharing and
communication.
The first of these Special
Dress Rehearsals will be Thursday, March 13th.
The play is “Last of the Red Hot Lovers” by Neil
Simon. This hilarious comedy tells the story of
middle-aged Barney Cashman who married his high
school sweetheart and who now wants to have one
sweeping extra-marital, romantic fling in his
tranquil, faithful marriage before life passes
him by. On three different afternoons he brings
women to his mother’s apartment while she’s at
the hospital doing volunteer work. There are
plentiful laughs in this tender portrayal of a
decent fellow who just can’t succeed in sinning.
All rehearsals and
performances are held at Dreamchasers home, The
Norwell Grange Hall, 142 Main Street in
Norwell. Seating for this Special Dress
Rehearsal on Thursday, March 13th,
begins at 3:30 p.m. The rehearsal begins at 4
p.m. The theatre seats fifty people and seating
will be done on a first come, first served
basis.
Performances of “Last of
the Red Hot Lovers” which are open to all are
Friday, March 14th at 7 p.m.,
Saturday, March 15th at 2 p.m. and 7
p.m., and Sunday, March 16th at 2
p.m. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8
for Senior Citizens and Students, and $5 for
Dreamchasers students. Tickets go on sale at
the theatre thirty minutes prior to each
performance.
