Dreamchasers, Inc. is a Massachusetts based, Non-profit, Educational Corporation.

CLASS SCHEDULE

Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter Programs
We offer a full program of theatre classes held after school on weekdays, and a full day on Saturdays.  All classes perform at the completion of each term.  Click here for more information on classes.

Our Mission is threefold:

I.    SOCIAL
We have created the Dreamchasers Traveling Company, composed of six of our finest students.  We tour to care facilities, such as hospitals, nursing homes, special needs organizations, and rehabilitation centers - free of charge - presenting pieces focusing on the dignity, courage, and humor inherent in all of our lives.  We are vitally involved in our community.  This is one way in which we give back to our community!

II.    HUMAN
We are hard at work to realize our goal of creating a truly inter-generational, multicultural Theatre Company.  In our Company people of all ages, colors, faiths, physical, mental, and financial realities will come together creatively.  They will discover more about themselves and each other.  Together we will help make this world a better place.

III.    EDUCATIONAL
Our aim is to offer each student the opportunity to develop his/her artistic skills, while increasing self-confidence and awareness through the art of theatre.  To this end, we offer classes in Acting, Playwriting, Improvisation, Musical Theatre, Play Production, Dance and Technical Theatre.  We also produce fully-staged, student-acted productions three times a year.

Dreamchasers' Artistic Director is Ms. Rosann M. Weeks.  She teaches all acting, improvisation, technical theatre, and playwriting classes, and directs all major productions.

VI. What Our Students Say About Dreamchasers:

COMMENTS FROM DREAMCHASERS STUDENTS, 4/20/07

“At Dreamchasers I feel safe. Plus we always respect each other and we know that we can speak our mind without being laughed at. I love coming to Dreamchasers. It is a great experience.”
Lydia, age 11

“Dreamchasers is something that I look forward to the entire week, because I know when I am at Dreamchasers that I can be myself without being self-conscious or afraid. I have gained confidence, experience, and an acceptance of others during the time I have spent in the Dreamchasers program.”
Alexandria, age 14

“Dreamchasers. Just the word alone is self-explanatory. To me, this means pursuing my hopes and dreams not only as an actor, but as a growing man. Although I am a newcomer, I felt an immediate sense of talent once entering the room. Each and every individual has the availability to shine at their best here. Rosann has created such a positive atmosphere here for learning, helping, and having the chance to make strong bonds with other.”
Andrew, age 17

“Dreamchasers is a place where kids go to make new friends and express their feelings through acting. When I first went to Dreamchasers I was really shy and didn’t have much friends. But after a few weeks with Rosann I started to open up to people and make lots of new friends. I remember my first play, “The Last Reindeer”. I was so nervous when the lights went out to start the play I thought I was going to wet my pants. Then one of my new friends reached out to me and told me it would be alright and that I would do great. Then I wasn’t so shy anymore and I went out there and did the play. It was awesome. I had never had so much fun in my entire life. And from that play on I have been doing acting ever since. I don’t know what I would do without Dreamchasers. Dreamchasers has changed my life and will always be in my heart.”
Emily, age 14

“Dreamchasers means a lot to me. It is a place where I can express myself at anything I do. Everybody is friendly and nobody hurts other’s feelings. The classes are fun because we get to audition and make a production in eight weeks time, which always turns out great. Rosann is wonderful and is very kind and encouraging to all Dreamchasers students. She is the director who makes sure all of the performances and classes are a success, and she does a great job at it.”
Tess, age 12

“What Dreamchasers means to me is the ability to be myself. When I first came to Dreamchasers in the sixth grade, I was very shy and self-conscious. Coming to the Summer Program at Dreamchasers changed my life. I was surrounded by other kids who love acting, singing, dancing, playwriting, and so many other things. The other students didn’t make me feel uncomfortable to have fun and be myself. When I met Rosann, we had an immediate bond. Now, I love her like she was a part of my family. Rosann has love for each and every one of her students and shows them how great they are as people and as performers. Thanks to Dreamchasers I have found something I love and want to do for the rest of my life. One day I even hope to open my own youth theatre company and change lives the same way Rosann has changed mine. Now I don’t care what people think of me because I know I am a good person and am proud of myself. Becoming a part of Dreamchasers has helped me find myself and be happy with who I am.” Amanda, age 18

“Dreamchasers means so much to me that words can’t even describe. Dreamchasers made me who I am and I can’t imagine what I would be like without being a part of this fantastic theatre. Dreamchasers increased my confidence and taught me not only about theatre, but about myself. Throughout my years here, I met so many great people. Everyone is so kind and supportive of each other. To me Dreamchasers means happiness, fun, learning, and support. Dreamchasers has increased my passion for theatre even more than when I began.”
Raisa, age 13

“Dreamchasers I a place where I can go and know I’m not going to be judged and where I can be myself.”
Emma, age 16

“Dreamchasers means fun, friends, and learning to me. I have lots of fun when I’m acting and doing improv. I look forward to coming to Dreamchasers all the time. I have made lots of friends of all ages. Everyone is really nice to me even if we are rivals in the play. I learn so many good acting techniques from Rosann. It really inspires me to become an actress. Dreamchasers is a very suiting name.”
Alice, age 11

“Dreamchasers means an opportunity to learn and make friends. Dreamchasers is a learning experience for children of all ages. It also gives you something to look forward to during the week. Everyone is always kind here. There would be no Dreamchasers without Rosann! Go Dreamchasers!”
Natalia, age 10

“Being a person who is involved in a few different organizations, I can surely say that Dreamchasers provides an experience unlike any other. Dreamchasers is a home away from home. You show up and see your friends, work with Rosann, and have a blast while you’re at it. No matter how your day is going you know that when you step into the Grange, everything is going to be uplifting, fun, and comforting.”
Jamie, age 15

“Dreamchasers is my home away from home. It’s where we are all like one big family. When I’m here I feel as if I can be myself and it does not matter. Dreamchasers is where I know I will fit in.”
Rachael, age 11

“Dreamchasers is a great place to learn how to act. For me it is helping me grow in my confidence. It’s fun and you’ll learn many things there.”
Catie, age 10

“Rosann is trying to show you how the real world of acting is and the way real life functions. She is teaching you many lessons you will need later in life, and the sooner you learn them the less hard it is to learn them when they are needed. These lessons include independence, responsibility, discipline, commitment, and common sense. If it wasn’t for Rosann teaching all this I wouldn’t have learned many of these things until they slapped me in the face when I needed them. Over all Dreamchasers is an amazing place. To me it is not only a great acting place, but an amazing, inspiring place. And I don’t know what I would ever do without it”
Elizabeth, age 13

“Dreamchasers means a whole lot to me. It’s not just an acting class. It’s something you must take seriously. But also you must enjoy. Dreamchasers means a whole lot to me because without Rosann I would be lost. Rosann has taught me so much over these three years. I start to think how much better the world would be like if everyone had a heart and soul like Rosann,”
Tom, age 12
