01/01/08 Dreamchasers Theatre Arts
Center will begin their Winter Theatre Classes
the week of January 8th. Classes
being offered this term include Acting for
Students ages six through eight, Acting for
Students ages nine through twelve, Acting for
Teens, Improvisation open to students ages nine
through adult, and Play Production open to
students ages eight through adult. All Classes,
with the exception of Play Production, are eight
week courses which conclude with a performance
by all of the students on Saturday, March 8th.
Play Production is a nine week course which
concludes with four performances of a fully
produced, full length production on March 14th,
15th, and 16th. Registration in Play
Production is limited and is subject to approval
by Dreamchasers Artistic Director. There are no
classes February 17th through February 24th
due to school vacation. All Classes and
performances are held at Dreamchasers home, the
Norwell Grange Hall, 142 Main Street, in
Norwell.
All Classes are taught by Dreamchasers
Artistic Director,
Rosann M. Weeks. Ms. Weeks
resume includes Director of CBS-TV’s “As the
World Turns”, Founder and Artistic Director of
the Hub Theatre Center of Boston, Teacher of
Acting at Vassar College, C.W. Post College, The
Coupe Studio, and The Children’s Storefront
School of New York City. She is the director of
over 200 professional productions in Regional,
Dinner, Stock, and Off-Broadway theatres. Ms.
Weeks is the recipient of the Boston Theatre
Critics’ Best Director Award for her production
of “The Rimers of Eldritch”. Her former
students include Oscar winners Rob Reiner and Al
Brooks, winner of the Best Actress award at the
Cannes Film Festival Kitty Winn, the Director of
the Theatre Wing of Lincoln Center Andre Bishop,
and the CEO of Sony Entertainment Andrew Lack.
Ms. Weeks holds an M.F.A. Degree in Directing
from Boston University.
Enrollment in each class is limited to
insure individual attention to each student.
