FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
05/23/06 Dreamchasers Theatre Arts Center will
present four performances of
“Love Rides the
Rails”. Written by Morland Cary, “Love Rides the Rails” is an
old-fashioned, hilarious melodrama with delightful music. The plot
centers around Simon Darkway, villain, who seeks to control the
Walker Valley, Pine Bush & Pacific Railroad for his own vile
purposes. Opposing him are the gallant Truman Pendennis, the
beauteous Prudence Hopewell, the Widow Hopewell, and staunch Harold
Stanfast. Assisting Simon are Dirk Sneath, a viper of a man, and
Carlotta Cortez, the sultry siren with a heart of gold. Swiftly and
hilariously the plot unfolds, leading to a tremendous climax when
the hero is bound by the villains to the tracks in the path of an
on-rushing train. Will the heroine arrive in the nick of time?
