08/04/2005 Dreamchasers Theatre Arts Center will be presenting the annual tour by
their Teen Traveling Company August 15th through August 20th.
This is a public service program which Dreamchasers has offered free of charge
for the past eight years to Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Senior Residences,
Retirement Communities, and Care Facilities in the South Shore and surrounding
areas. They have performed for over 2,000 people at such places as Children’s
Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Quincy Center for the Blind, Mayflower
Rehabilitation Center, and Meeting House Estates.
The Teen Traveling Company is composed of six of Dreamchasers finest
students. To be selected as a member of the Teen Traveling Company is the
highest honor a Dreamchasers student can receive. The members of this year’s
Company are Makenzie Schmitt and Hayley Richards of Norwell, Caitlin Dennehy and
Adam Stoddard of Hanover, Richard Alcott of Abington, and Sophia Bakas of
Plymouth. The understudies are Jamie Connor of Plymouth, Amanda Wilson of
Hanover, and Raisa Hoffman of Marshfield.
This year’s performances will be presented at The Life Care Center of
the South Shore in Scituate, Deerfield Senior Day Care Center in Hingham, New
England Village in Pembroke, Meeting House Estates in Scituate, Norwell Knoll
Nursing Home in Norwell, and Linden Ponds in Hingham.
